Please note that this year we have streamlined the submission process with a revamped online platform. You will need to create an account and be prepared to upload your submission(s) in .mp4 or .mov format. The deadline is June 92017. Submit now before you go on hiatus!

Finalists and winners will be announced at a special dinner and awards ceremony at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood on Sept. 27, 2017.

Last year, Madam Secretary, East Los High, black-ish and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver were among the winners at a glittering evening that featured a special appearance by legendary TV producer Norman Lear.

Since 1999, the Sentinel Awards have honored TV shows and movies that educate and motivate viewers to make choices for healthier and safer lives. The awards are sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and presented by HH&S, a program of the Lear Center and a one-stop shop for writers and producers in search of accurate information on topics about public health, safety and security.
