Lear Center Managing Director and Director of Research Johanna Blakley joins actors, producers and industry experts at the 2012 Seattle International Film Festival slated for May 17 through June 10. Blakley will participate in a panel titled, “Films That Make a Difference,” about the promise and perils of social impact campaigns centered around film. She’s discuss the Lear Center’s recent study of “Food, Inc.” that found that the film did have a measurable impact on audiences.
Panel participants include: Bonnie Benjamin-Phariss, Director, Vulcan Productions; Meredith Blake, President, Cause & Affect; and Holly Gordon, Executive Director, 10×10, a multiplatform initiative about girls? education. The panel will be moderated by Warren Etheredge, founding faculty of The Film School.
