Media Choices Symposium

drexelu300Lear Center Managing Director and Director of Research Johanna Blakley joins academics from around the country for Drexel University’s Media Choices Symposium. This one-day seminar is a discussion of recent changes in media use behaviors, in particular patterns in users’ selections of certain kinds of media experiences (such as news content, educational content, or social experiences) related to the popularization of digital media. Speakers are invited to explore: how the act of choosing media experiences has changed; how these changes relate to new attributes of media technologies (such as mobility or increased bandwidth); how changes in choice patterns relate to educational or civic outcomes; how users may change their media choosing behavior for the better.
