Iva Schroeder, project manager with Hollywood Health & Society at the Norman Lear Center, will be presenting at this year’s Second National Summit on Preconception Health and Health Care at a workshop entitled “Novel Approaches For Promoting Preconception Health.” Presented by the March of Dimes, California Chapter, the summit will take place in Oakland, California from October 29th to the 31st.
The workshop will discuss the importance of promoting preconception health where women are – whether on the Internet, in a beauty shop or watching TV. Women are inundated with health messages from many sources, so being strategic and creative in getting compelling and clear messages delivered in comfortable contexts that instigate or facilitate conversation is vital. This session will present novel approaches for reaching women with preconception health messages. Moderated by Katherine Lyon-Daniel of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
