Lear Center Senior Fellow David Bollier spoke at the Common Wealth workshop of the Take Back America 2006 Conference on June 14 in Washington, D.C.

The Take Back America Conference brings together thousands of progressive activists, thinkers and leaders to discuss the ideas, hone the message, train the organizers, and build the infrastructure needed to sustain more progressive leadership. It is a catalyst for building the infrastructure to ensure that the voice of the progressive majority is heard. Take Back America always attracts the nation’s most prominent progressive leaders.

This year’s conference featured presentations on affordable healthcare for all, rebuilding the Gulf, reviving America’s schools, national security, cleaning up government and elections and a motherhood manifesto. For more information, visit Take Back America 2006.
