It?s not meant to be anything literal, just spatial and architectural, urban as well as landscape that accommodates a new downtown cultural presence. The overall intent is to physically connect the terrace plaza at the Chandler Pavilion to the park via a pedestrian bridge that establishes a threshold for the area that demarcates a relationship to City Hall. The arm is intended as a sculptural piece (like Calatrava, there would be a movement of tracing the sun). It would formulate a vertical element during the day that provides orientation around the area as well a way to navigate.
