Dana Weinstein

PROJECT SPECIALIST, MEDIA IMPACT PROJECT

Dana Weinstein is the Project Specialist for the Media Impact Project, where she provides research support across a number of different projects. She previously worked at Public Counsel, a public interest law firm dedicated to advancing racial and economic justice. Her research interests include the representation of marginalized groups on screen, the role of narratives in shifting culture, and the social impact of unscripted entertainment. She holds a bachelor's degree from Occidental College in both sociology and Spanish studies. She received her master's degree in education with an emphasis in research and evaluation from Cal State L.A.
